Nelson Hultberg is a freelance writer in Dallas, TX, a graduate of Beloit College in Wisconsin, and the Director of Americans for a Free Republic. His articles have appeared in publications such as The Dallas Morning News, the San Antonio Express-News, The American Conservative, Insight, The Freeman, Liberty, and on numerous websites such as Daily Paul, The Daily Bell, Canada Free Press, Right Side News, Financial Sense, and Safe Haven. He is the author of The Golden Mean: Libertarian Politics, Conservative Values. For several years in the 1990s, he worked with Citizens for an Alternative Tax System out of Washington, D.C. promoting repeal of the federal income tax. In 1998, he was featured along with Congressmen Bill Archer, Dick Armey, and Billy Tauzin in Texas Business magazine as one of Texas’ leading tax reformers (“Texas Tea Party,” May-June 1998).
